Today!
I have not touched a drop in 365 days.
My apologies to everyone here for my premature post 49 days ago.
You see, one of the useful tools here at SR is the sobertime calculator. It is located at the top left corner of the forum's homepage. Click on that link and type your sobriety date into the calculator and it tells you how many sober days you have as well as minutes, seconds and heartbeats! Pretty cool!
It's really cool if you put in the correct date! Operator error! My bad! I used the calculator in July and put in July 25, 2008 as my sobriety date, but my actual sobriety date is August 25, 2008. I was shocked when it said 346 days sober. Wow! In my excitement I posted here on Newcomers "Hey I'm 19 days away from one year" . I have got to tell you, that was the longest dang 19 (49) days!
Glad to be here, sober, again today!

Pelican! Coooooooooongratulations!
I missed your other date, too....so I'm glad I didn't miss this one! And oh my goodness....it would be a long 49 days.
Pelican, even though we don't get to chat a lot, I Always, Always enjoy what you have to say. I remember when you first came here....and I was mightly impressed with you. I still am. I'd love to sit down and have coffee with you.
Again, Congratulations. You've come a long, long way.

I am so thankful for SR and each of the beautiful souls that roam this forum and make it feel like home. I believe HOME is where your journey begins!
I love to come here and laugh at the silly things in our lives (pelicows included)
I love to come here and share experiences of anger, sadness, disappointment and know that someone will offer me hope, and someone else will know they are not alone in these feelings.
I love to come here and share my victories and have little victory parties with fireworks and smilies, too. Sharing victories also lets others know that there is joy in recovery!
Love and Hugs to you!
p.s. My personal victory party last night included Ben & Jerry's, mmmmmm
Fudge brownie with Willie Nelson's peach cobbler.

Nice one mate, It's people like you who give inspiration to us all that indeed it can be done.
It's funny ain't it you never regret each new day sober that you can add to the ever growing list of sober days but you would damn regret each drunk day that you would add to an ever growing list of drunk days.
Peace and Love x
