Hi Everyone! :) Hi, I'm Kim! :) I'm brand new here! I just found this community tonight and I'm so excited to have found it. I just quit drinking two days ago so I'm really new! The first day was hard, the second day was harder so I'm basically just hanging in there right now! Say a prayer for me! :) I look forward to meeting you all! |

nogard and Faerie, thank you so much for the warm welcome! :) |
Hi Kim, Welcome to SR :c032: congratulations on your decision. We are all going through the same things together & we are all here to help & support each other in our recovery. People will be along to greet you soon, lots of these recovering people go to bed a little earlier than the party peeps because they will be getting up & doing something fun/productive in the morning instead of lying around all day hungover ;=) Take Care & I look forward to reading about your recovery. Hi Kim, Think about hanging out with the class of august.......we have a collection of people who have quit or are trying to quit this month. It is under the newcomer's daily support threads and is called the august sobriety class or group......there are lots of people close to your time frame and there is lots of support about all of this stuff. Hope to see you there! Tell them VC sent ya! :) |

Hi Kim!!! Looks like you and I made the choice to quit around the same time. I'm going into day 4 and I feel better then yesterday (in the hour that I've been awake) and much better then I did the day before and certainly the day before that. Prior to that I didn't really feel much...but that's what got me here isn't it. Everyone has been so nice here. Glad to meet you and I look forward to progressing through sobriety with you!!! |

Welcome to the Sober Recovery community. i hope that you stay sober & clean every day. Have you thought about a daily plan of action to stay sober and begin a process of recovery? |
Thank you everyone for your kind replies! I feel very welcome here! :) Today is day three and I actually woke up in a good mood! That's nice for a change! I feel really positive today! My plan of action is to count on God to get me through each day, one day at a time, sober and to come to this forum for support , encouragement and wisdom. 'Thank you VC for telling me about the class of August! I will check it out! :) Thank you again everyone! Have a great day! |
