I can think of a lot worse things to be addicted to, and I'm not just talking about TV or video games!

It is great that you are hanging around and learning as much as you possibly can about your problem. SR was a lifeline for me last year when i tried to stop drinking by myself for 5 months, i was on here for at least 4 hours a day! For me i ended up getting into a program of face to face recovery, AA...but still come to SR every morning. Do whatever you want to do in order to stay away from that first drink:-)

I know the feeling too. I have only missed a few days here in the 2 yrs I have been coming here.
I have been a little MIA here lately. Not posting much. But tonight I cant seem to leave...LOL

I think that is an excellent way of putting it. People become addicted to recovery instead of drugs/alcohol. Here's to hoping one day that the underlying cause of addiction is cured. Good post.

Your post really does speak volumes. You have insight and you know what is going on. Some do "get it", it seems. You happen to be one of them. Hopefully others will read your post as well.
