Another day 1 is complete.

Day two is tomorrow. I've got to have a plan for this weekend and stay busy if I want to build on any momemtum.

I don't have much else to say, but wanted to post.

Your comment cracked me up, I starting choking on this damm cigarette.

I know that for me, I can not thank SR for being here enough. It is saving my life. Restoring me to sanity. I love and need to laugh more, hate the rage or crazy emotions, but know that they are good to feel these.
I laugh and tear up with all these posts, thanks guy's for sharing.

You know I have had a plan that I have carried out since the first day I got out of detox!

Working on my recovery and living life! The primary part of my plan was to spend as much time working on my recovery as I did drinking and getting booze! I did that by attending a TON of AA meetings in early sobriety and taking the steps.

By spending as much time working on my recovery as I did drinking and getting booze there was no time left to drink! The amazing part of that was I actually spent quality time with my family, I had not done that in years.

I will be honest and say that I tried using simply stayiong busy as a means of staying sober many times in the past and would always get bored and give into that mental obsession to drink away the boredom from "staying busy"

Think about it..... "Oh man I want a drink, I better get busy!" BUSY BUSY BUSY BUSY BUSY BUSY BUSY BUSY! BUSY just to stay BUSY to where I will not drink! "Man this is boring all this staying BUSY, I could sure use a drink!" I better get busy!" BUSY BUSY BUSY BUSY BUSY BUSY BUSY BUSY! BUSY just to stay BUSY to where I will not drink! DUHHHHHH I got drunk!!!! I repeated the above hundreds of times! If you want to stay busy, I found that getting busy working on my recovery actually led to recovery.

There is a HUGE difference between just not drinking and recovery.

Kjell is actually my father's name. He was Norwegian and it's pronounced like "chell". I say "was" b/c he died while drunk driving and I'm trying not to follow in his footsteps.
