Welcome China,

I'm sorry I have no experince with the drug but others will be along shortly. You have come to the right place, there is alot of very knowledgeable people here. I will say it sounds very dangerous going cold turkey. Have you talked to a doctor? Good luck and keep reading and posting.

Just wanted to add you can start looking around the site. I just saw there is a substance abuse forum with active members on site now.

China with both alcoholism and drug addiction, no matter how bad the withdrawals are, the toughest part is STAYING stopped!!!!

I stopped drinking hundreds of times and never could stay stopped on my own.

I reached the point where there was no choice in the end, I had to be medically detoxed.

At that point I was willing to do anything to stay sober, I went to AA, today thanks to AA I am free of the bondage of alcohol and am happier then I have been in over 35 years.

You know I bet if you called your local AA or NA hotline before you started the cold turkey deal you could get a great deal of face to face support.

Hello and welcome to the SR community.

Is there some reason that you will not stop using today?
Planning to begin withdrawl on Aug. 2nd may be too late.

Your life is worth more than that to be putting if off any longer.

Hi and Welcome,

I am glad you found us, and I also wonder why you are waiting before stopping.

You need to talk to your dr about stopping cold turkey and your symptoms.

We cannot give any kind of medical advice.
