stepping it up!
wanted to say hello to all since I am new here! Looking forward to listening and sharing! about 72 hours in and feeling alright thanks to some meds. Reading about some of your detox experiences without meds terrifies me and would not wish that on my worst enemy. best wishes to all and see ya tomorrow!

thanks to everybody. Still had a little bit of twitching last night but no "midnight terror" type episodes + nice dreams.
I have done this countless times and thought I would have learned already! usually my relapse happens when I forget how much hell the last detox was (im sure all can attest)
I'm overseas now and getting prescription gear is no sweat. But about to head back to the states in 10 day where I know it's a major **** hole to get any care unless you got major $$ + being treated subhuman in a shite shack
So F'in up again just can't happen.
big problem is I work in nightlife and entertainment, and most of my peers drink ect. Should be a hefty challenge so again im happy to find this board where I can come and make sober connections
btw - recently got some Topamax (have not taken any yet) and wondering if there is a thread that deals with this drug? I used to seach function but was a bit surprised to find little info. Any recommendations?

This is just me, but when i decided to take my recovery serious i had to change everything. Friends, places i hung out, etc. If your job is a serious threat to your recovery you may want to think about finding another career.
