Congratulations Luckedog. I found the first month the toughest and after that the desire to drink or use diminished.

Thanks to all of you! I realize 30 days is not near as long as some of you have but I realy feel optimistic about the future. I have gotten support and advice on this forum that has made a big difference in my determination to stay sober!! My sponsor has had a lot to do with it also- A special thanks to him!
I'll be around- I'm making a commitment to be slower to post and more ready to listen. I have enjoyed the last 30 days of sobriety, but I realize that drinking was only a part of my problem. I notice many flaws in my character that stopping drinking didn’t solve!
I will be working on those as time goes by. Looking foreword to getting to know you all better as I progress. THANKS!!
