thankyou.

Lots of people took the time to post support for me and the mutt last night and today.
i cant tell you how much comfort i got from that.
i did get to sleep eventually at about 0400.

jake has been to the vet again today and his temp is down to 102.
he can walk in a straight line again.....for a fashion.

it is probable he has been bitten by a sheep tick that is carrying a nasty something or other.
alot of horses recent around here have been hit with it..

im sure with all the injections he will improve within the next 72hours...

again i thankyou for all you thoughts and support.....
for a while there i thought my pal was a gonna.

shaun.

Glad to hear he's feeling better. I know how strong the bond between us and our dogs can be. I will keep him in my prayers.

Our pets really do become our family. And many times they act better than the ones we share bloodlines with. I hope Jake is improving by the moment!

Had both of our goldens in today for their annual checkups and thought why not get them tested for Lyme's disease (from deer ticks around here).

I've wondered lately if Reilly, our seven year old had it because he's been more listless than usual. And although he's never really had much of an appetite, he's been even harder to entice...

Anyway I just received a call confirming he has it and we're beginning the heavy duty antibiotics tomorrow.

How's that for a coincidence? haha

Glad your guy's feeling better today, and that you finally got some zzzzzzz's.

Trucker, I am so glad that both you and Jake are feeling better today.

I'd be lost without my cats.

Hi Trucker and Jake,

Awwwwwwwww I'm so sorry for you and your doggie. I'm a hugh Animal Lover and well, I got me 17 pets (Babies) so I can sure understand how worrisome and hard this must be for you. They are all so precious to us and indeed are like our children. I will pray for Jake that he will have a speedy recovery.

Love Pancake xo
