1 year today!!!

I realized I had a drinking problem several years ago, and told myself I would get sober as my 2008 New Years Resolution. I had several false starts. But, as of today I have gone 365 days without a drink, with no plans of falling back into my old lifestyle. I don't post here very often, but I continue to visit this website several times a week. I come back to remind myself how far I've come, and to gain insight and strength from everyone here, and your posts. I can honestly say without this website I wouldn't be the person I am today. Living each day sober is such a blessing I can't put into words. Thank You SR, and everyone here.

CD, I think that's really awesome. I had a similar moment of clarity earlier this year. Was sober a month, had a relapse -- not too bad though -- and now have 66 days under my belt. That's almost 20 percent of one year! Looking forward to reaching that one-year milestone myself, but always focusing on one day at a time.

Please post more often and thanks for inspiring all of us!
