New to recovery after relapse
Hi my name is Kelly and I relapsed after being clean off and on for 2 years. I never used meetings to help me I was on my own, Family does not understand addiction. This time around i'am planning on utilizing every means to stay sober. Anyone have any advice I would appreciate it.. thank you...
Depending on what you're addicted to, you may want to give AA or NA meetings a shot.

Hi Kelly, and welcome to SR!
I use AA, NA might be helpful to you too. I just find it important to have a plan, anything besides drifting aimlessly in recovery, I hope you find something that works for you.

I go to NA and AA, especially meetings I don't like, and meetings where I feel 'uncomfortable'.
It really prepares me for daily life in today's world where there are so many things I don't like and that make me uncomfortable.
I get a lot out of meetings where people say stuff I don't agree with, and where people say stuff that sometimes really pisses me off.
I'm kind of crazy, but if I can learn 'acceptance' in meetings, I can take it with me out into the world.
It really works for me.
