My ex-husband (who was a close friend) died from this disease in April. His son was born last night. It is very bittersweet and I have a lot of confusing emotions about it. I am not even sure how to pray about this at the moment... Sad. Confused. Not going to drink or drug but wish I could sort out my feelings and take action in *some* form or another... I don't feel it's appropriate to reach out to the mom right now, even though we know each other and they had broken up. This is the time for her to be with her family, not her deceased baby-daddy's ex-wife. I guess I wish I could be close to that baby to feel closer to him... Thoughts? Thanks.

I am not close at all - 7 hours away. I will try and talk to him and see if I feel better. I like to do that sometimes.

A prayer that always helps me when I don't know how to is God Please help me through this. Don't ever forget that when we can't pray, he listens to our heart.

I'm very sorry to hear about your ex, even though I still struggle with bitterness towards my ex at times, I do know that praying for the best to come to other people is a caring action.

I also try to remember in situations like this that there's a lesson in every experience, even though we might not understand what it is at the time. God will reveal that on His time.

Prayers going out for all of you, it's good to know the baby will be loved by caring people.

I do believe that I would not be sober today without him. I pray to him because I didnt have a HP, and it was the first time I believed someone was listening.
