7 weeks so far....

Well, I am finishing up on my 7th week of sobriety. It is so nice to be able to drive past a liquor store and not have to fight to keep going. I catch myself thinking about a beer here and there, but it is easy for me to realize nothing good would come from it. I took a break from the gym this weekend while my mother was here to visit, and thankfully the visit went well. I am having a tough time with emotional episodes and i am really starting to realize my diagnosed Bi-Polar a lot more. I was in a pretty crappy mood today, but any day sober is better than how my life used to be. Anyway, I just wanted to check in and share with everyone. I hope everyone is still successful in their quest for sobriety.

It's helpful for me to see that even at 7 weeks, there is still alot of emotional and physical to be aware of.

Nice job on 7 weeks. I marked two months on Saturday. Really awful day for me even though I was able to remain sober. Emotional mood swings – yelling at my wife, just being an all-around jerk. I felt bad later, but also reminded myself "At least I'm still sober." Guess I'm just saying that we all have ups and downs, so hang in there!
