Sleep Please

OK so day 1-3 were a bit weird with DT visions and stuff, but I could actually accept it and have some fun wth it.

Being totally nuts, and running my energy out on the chat room ws fun!

BUT- today is not fun,,, I am tired. I didn't sleep at all last night, and I feel a bit pouty, but mostly angry and tired

that is all

I think that's part of the process of withdrawl.

Have you talked to your dr?

Exercise, exercise, exercise.

It provides a productive activity to pass the time and it induces sleep.

Keep coming back.

great advice, and I will. Exercise is a biggie for me. Maybe tonight I will run to the gym, verses ride.

Please see your Dr. DTs have a 35% death rate if untreated.

It doesn't matter how you self-diagnose your withdrawal symptoms severity--unless you a medical degree. It sounds like you are being obstinate about seeing the Dr., rationalizing a bit about pills/future addiction. I think it is great you have come to this decision but it is reckless to go through alcohol withdrawal without consulting a physician. I am not posting this so much for the benifit of the original poster, doesn't seem that it is likely they would change their mind at this point. But seriously, anyone thinking about quitting, medical supervision is necessary, not excerise!

Thanks Hendershot - I agree.

Freeflyin - if you went to your doctor honestly and openly, if your dr was any good at all you wouldn't get meds you could abuse, and you'd be checked over thoroughly. You might even get some good advice and guidance.

But...it's yr call - have you checked out our insomnia forum yet? it's worth a look too.

Alcohol withdrawal can be dangerous. Please consult your doctor to be safe.
