Update
Its been about 2 and half weeks now and I can honestly say I havent felt this good in YEARS!! Although I didnt drink everyday I usually was either drinking or hungover every second or third day. I used to think that I had some anxiety issues etc but now realise that I just felt like crap all the time it was the booze and cigarrettes (which I also quit) that were making me feel so crappy.
I highly recomend clean living (if you have anxiety... get rid of caffiene too). My whole life has changed for the better and I am not looking back. Why didnt I do this sooner!!
Cheers! (with a lemonade)
Hope everyone else is doing well too, give me an update!!

Thanks for sharing a positive message about recovery Shelly, I'm happy to hear that you're doing well. Way to go on keeping up the nicotine quit too!
Woooohooo Nice work Shelly I went back to take a look at your other posts (including your first) and wow you have come a long way.
Keep up the great work & stay close, whatever you do don't get too confident & start to think... I am ok now I can have just one like everybody else (we have lost so many people due to this).
Have a wonderful day & congratulations on your recovery :ghug2 I look forward to reading more of your experiences.
Take Care,

Nope, drinking and me are no longer friends. I cant wait for the next opportunity to say "no thanks, I dont drink"
Great job, Shelly! I'm very impressed. I wish it was that easy for me to just quit. I have some psychological addictions to alcohol that I'm trying to break. Maybe I'll get there, just in a more "round about" way. Keep us posted on your new sober life!
I am thinking that was all meant to be :ghug2
Keep it up Shelly, I am proud of you
