The 4th Picnic
I'm suprised to report that MOST people don't drink until they are idiots.
It was fun to watch it all thru sober eyes. And, weirdly, the only people that even noticed I wasn't drinking were the ones that drank too much. My one friend asked me why I wasn't drinking and I told her it was too hot to drink. (I'm a closet extrovert & a closet recovering alcoholic - friends and family are on a need-to-know basis) She seemed confused. My sister-in-law chimed in that she can't even think about drinking in the heat. (Her exact terminology was 'It's all HOT FLASH CENTRAL') (She has a gift with words)

We had a great holiday, got to see fireworks on the 3rd and 4th, and spent some time with the US Army. On the 4th I just happened to be standing next to a guy who kept spilling beer down the back of my legs. Unreal.
