You may not be looking for congratulations but you have earned them

Three months is a bid deal, buy a new filter or something and take some more of your amazing pictures to celebrate.

Hey Bam,

I'm really happy to read of your sobriety. Those first three months were incredibly hard for me. I felt like I had climbed an enormous mountain when I looked up and saw I had 3 months. I think anyone and everyone who achieves that, deserves all the congratulations in the world. It is a huge feat. It was for me. Probably the most difficult thing I've ever done in my life.

The interesting thing for me was that as I added time to my sobriety, I found myself further and further away from the temptation to slide back into drinking. I know this isn't the case for everyone. But for me, having climbed that mountain, the last thing I wanted to do was have to climb it again.

I'm proud of you.

You sound like a whole new person, Bam. I'm so happy for you and very proud that you've stuck with it when I know a few times you wanted to just cave. There's much wisdom in your post - I particularly relate to the "masking not dealing" thing. Spent my whole life that way, not even sure why. Growing up isn't so bad - who knew? Thanks for a great thread.
