Day 1 again.
Day 1 again.
Doesn't it stink. My last slip was a year ago. I'm on the verge of just not trying. Yesterday my wife debated the idea of NOT THROWING the booze out. We boxed it up and its going to her parents house. I drank enough on Friday to be buzzed yesterday. Call that a 2 day drunk. I dont know if I drank yesterday.
1 year and I fell. Anyone on the fence should know that this is not the sort of feeling you want to wake up to!!!

Hi c49,
You made it a year, so you no know you can make another, by the same method of living one day at a time. Don't be too hard on yourself, just pick up the tools again and start fresh. Maybe something was bothering you, something just wasn't right, maybe life had becoeme stagnant or more difficult, if you can identify the trigger, it may help avoid a repeat performance.

i hope that you will consider this as another failed experment at using alcohol
rather than continuing to mix those chemicals which result in self-destruction.
i hope that this was enough evidence for you to realize what you felt you needed to know.
Thank you for coming back with a desire to stop living a way of life that only ends in death.
Begin to begin again; go to a meeting today, call your sponsor, and don't take another drink!

I would probably evaluate my recovery program and try not to repeat what I was doing just prior to relapse.
I did a whole lot of fessing up today. Some of it was easy and some was hard. Discovered that over the past year I actually inspired a number of family members to put their drinks away. A few said so today for the first time. Well folks, its another lesson learned and its nice to be reminded of not being alone.
Day 1, done.
Day 1, done.
