Cleaning up the Wreckage
Cleaning up the Wreckage
I am back with 43 days clean and sober. My work hates me, my family hates me, my friends hate me, (ok that may be a BIT dramatic) but I am on the right track, and doing the next right thing. I am in the midst of turmoil, but I feel good inside, and hopeful. Jsut wanted to share.
Hi, congrats on the 43 days!!
Just remember that things will continue to get better as we continue to stay sober. Most of us have a lot of wreckage to clear up. The steps in AA are very helpful to deal with wreckage. Dealing with our wreckage definitely helps us to stay sober down the road and makes our lives much more enjoyable.

Or not. It's a blessing when it has. But, I'm OK when it hasn't. It's just none of my concern whether or not I'm forgiven or even trusted. My job is to repair the damage I've done to the best of my ability without expectations of what I may get in return. I continue to do act in ways that would instill trust. Whether or not I get that trust is irrelavent.
I think highly of your posts here, trucker. Just adding my thoughts.

Congratulations on your sober time.....
I've met new friends in AA who share the same lifestyle
and goals that my recovery requires to grow.
....This can be possible for you too.
