Any advice on how to get rid of these creepy crawlers in my legs???

I'm on my 7th, (I think), day cold turkey off oxy. While it doesn't compare to the first 4 days, I'm still not getting but about 2 hours of sleep a day. (Not to complain, mind you, as I didn't get ANY the first 4 days!! Any suggestions will be appreciated. Don't be shy, I'll try ANYTHING, (except opiates of course).

Hi,

Are you talking about 'restless legs'? I get that sometimes and someone told me that drinking Tonic Water would help. It sounded bizarre to me, but it works, at least sometimes. It has potassium in it, which helps to relax your muscles.

Hi Anna, The sleep issue will solve itself given time. We all go through it. As to the creepy crawlers, it may well be RLS. I suffer from it too, but there are a lot of medications available for it. See your doctor and tell him what's going on. Just make sure that he knows that you're an addict.

Yoga. Yoga. Yoga.

Stretch and breathe. Breath in the good, blow out the bad.

My thing is alcohol so I don't know if this applies, but I get creepy crawlers in my legs when I lie in bed for a long time tripping way out on thoughts, fantasies, etc.

I am a recovering alkie so no experience to speak for, I would say see a doctor making sure the doc knows you are an addict in recovery.

It has potassium in it, which helps to relax your muscles.
If the soda water helps bananas should as well they have a lot of natural pottassium as well.

I am on a medication now that helps with RLS. Before I began taking medication I would get up from bed and walk around the house and do lunges and somehow this seemed to help. (tones the legs too) lol.
