New Mother has that radiant glow of happiness and beauty that new mothers have. It makes me cry to see her holding her little son and touching his little cheek and hair and nose.
When she found out she was pregnant she quit smoking and drinking beer immediately, and started eating healthy and taking vitamins and fish oil and other good things. She was gung ho on living right to form the best baby and she did it!! I am so happy for my daughter. She did a great job delivering and said that when it was over and they laid him on her belly she just bawled for joy.
I imagine we're going to take a lot of walks together this summer; me with my dogs and her with her baby in his big new stroller. Lots of fresh air and sunshine for us all this summer. And to have the nice summer weather to enjoy him in the outdoors will be such fun. I am so looking forward to this summer.
Last night at the hospital it was like Grand Central Station in her room with her family and his family, and everyone was taking pix of mommy and baby. It was a happy day and I'm so pleased everything turned out well. This is my first grandchild that's closer to me than 800 miles away so I'm going to enjoy having a grandson in my town. What fun!
I can't post name or pix as pk asked me not to put name or pix on the internet. Suffice it to say he's gorgeous.

Bringing pk, baby, and daddy home from hospital now. Lots of stuff to bring home, especially little boy. So strange to think they came in there on THursday as two and are going home as three. :ghug

Just saw this Least. I've been busy and not able to get on here for a couple days. Congratulations on your grandson. Grandbabies are wonderful!!!!!! My daughter, son-in-law, 11 year old granddaughter, and 2 1/2 year old grandson all live with me, so I get to see them all the time. Enjoy!!!!!!!

Pk called me a while ago with a "mom" question about baby hiccups. I had no answer but could hear him hiccuping 'cutely' in the background. I didn't realize it til today at lunch that I hadn't told my brother yet! Duh!! I"m taking him over to their place this afternoon to see his new nephew, and, like me, the only one close to him/us.
Pk said he had a squawling fit last night and scared her and daddy to death cause they didn't know what to do, but then he stopped and went back to sleep. Her worry and concern touches me deeply, as she's determined to be the Best Possible Mommy, and I know she will be.
I wish all babies were loved and cared for so much...

I know I am coming to this late but please allow me to offer my hearty congratulations on a beautiful and healthy grandson and a daughter determined to be the best mommy she is capable of being! How awesome is it that you are sober and are going to be part of all of it? Some (plenty) don't get that chance!
It may be in another thread but what is the baby's name? Also, let us know what you re-name PK as she is definitely no longer "P" ROFL!!!
