rather recovery than face death
im not an alcoholic or maybe i am, but my father can be considered to be.
rather you recover than go through what my father has and is going through, he has in effect gone beyond recovery, but is before death. before death in its literal term but has been in death and is of pre-alcohol life, meaning he is not the same man, there is a death of who he was and an emergence of another.
he is not the father i know, he has brain damage, he is in hospital at least once a week, only last monday he was asmitted for confusion, released again thursday to be re-admitted today.
its so sad, he was a great father, i miss who he used to be, and care for who he is

Hi jacki, so sorry to hear about your father. My thoughts & prayers are with you both.
Check out the friends & family section as well as they are people who are also dealing with the same type of situations & emotions as you are now.
Please take care & know that we are all here with you.
