I'm new to this forum and would like to establish myself to insure every possible doubt that may come up, I will at least have somewhere to turn.

welcome!!!

Nothing like face to face support, a good many of us use the forum in addition to our outside support.

Have you tried AA?

Keep coming back, you'll find a lot of support here.

I have done AA. I think I will try this route first. Honestly the only person who can keep me from drinking is me. Only on day three but I'm very optimistic and after finding out I was drinking 4000 a night more than my daily allowance, I am taking this very seriuosly. I can't wait to become a veteran of sobriety.

Welcome to SR. This has been my only recovery tool after IOP. I do try to read alot about the disease also. I did not join AA for personal reasons. My family is a little too high profile for the AA around us. I am almost 10 months sober and SR has really helped me. Good luck this time around. I am trying to avoid a second time so will be interested in your journey. Keep posting and come here as much as you need. With time differences there is always someone on line.

Hi Resacup, Glad to have you with us. You'll find all the support in the world here. They're a great bunch of people. I do suggest that you try AA again, though. If you didn't like the meeting you used to go to, then try different ones. Anyway, best of luck and happy to have you in the asylum with the rest of us.

Welcome Resacup, I have found SR to be full of lots of good advice and very beneficial, I wish I had found it early in my sobriety but better late than never.
