Reintroducing myself?
Reintroducing myself?
Seriously, I'm not sure where to start. I guess this is where. I first posted several months ago about how I was starting my sober journey and how encouraged I was to find this community, ... how certain I was that yall would be central to my recovery.
Then I got all uppity, I guess! ... AA meetings are both wonderful and horrible for a newcomer. You can get into the stories of the warm fuzzy women, or wrapped up in the old salty dogs. (Does anyone else think meetings are a half hour too long?) I suppose it all depends a on your own experience. Anyway, I met women who were just like me, and gently invited me to continue.
And I FREAKED ... or at least i disassociated from them ... for a good several weeks. And here I am, trying to reconnect and not sound like a doofus. I've screwed up a lot of things over the past several weeks. I'd like to stop that.
Have I talked like a total freakball for the last many paragraphs?

No, I don't think you sound like a freakball at all.
I understand the meetings being long too. I don't like to sit for long, lol!!! But after going to enough of them, I do know which ones I like better for me so those are the ones I try to hit.
This is all a learning experience. So on that note, glad you're back.
