I just read there are 109 confirmed cases of swine flu. The whole school district of Ft Worth, TX has closed down due to probable cases of swine flu until May 11 and 2 other smaller districts here have closed down as well so there's a lot of sick people out there.

Dub...

Did they do a nasal swab, irrigation to diagnose this as flu... If they did and it was positive, I don't think they'll know that it is SWINE flu until the specific swine flu tests are done and that takes a little longer.

You are basically healthy, sounds like you should be OK.

there's been 2 cases here in CO as of today. It's honestly not much different than many of the other strains of flu.. same severity, mortality, similar symptoms.. people die all the time from influenza complications, other strains have a much higher mortality rate. There's treatment, just like any flu. Seems what's more 'worrisome' is that it's so widespread, and it hadn't been for many years.

Wash your hands, stay inside, just like any other flu season.

Thanks for that info flutter, I hadn't heard about the Colorado cases yet. IMO... without a vacine it could spread very quickly.
