No Phone Call's While in a Bubble Bath!

Anyone who has read my thread on my moods today knows that I am in a funk.
So I finally drag my butt out of bed at 4:30pm to take a bubble bath and read my book.
I get all settled in and my daughter "15" rings me with her cell phone; I answer, no one is there. So I call her back to see if she needed me and she started talking very disrespectfully to me, we ended the call and I decided I would deal with her when she got home.
So I settle back in with my book and my ice tea and the phone rings again and it's my sister. The one I called 911 on a couple of weeks ago (there is a thread). She said "hey, I'm sad... I'm sad... You better call the cops you dumb a$$." I told her I wasn't going to talk to her while she was drunk. The call ended
So once again I pick up my book, I’ve read a whole page by now, and my daughter comes home acting like a teenager... But I don't handle disrespect very well. So I told her to give me her phone because she was acting like a bi!ch. OMG I have never talked to my kids that way! I wanted to slap my own face after that outburst. I kept her phone for 2 hours before I returned it to her and apologized for the name calling.

This post really didn't need to be this long... All I really needed to say is don’t answer the phone while trying to take a bubble bath!

Somehow throughout all of this my mood has lifted... Weird... I know.

I know I'm not alone when I read your posts.

There are a lot of times I don't answer the phone, I let it take a message, I return the call when I'm ready.

Tommy,

There are times I don't answer the phone as well. But when it's my daughter, sister, mother etc.. I feel obligated... However, from now on I think I will be screening my sister’s calls; I am through with her insanity. If she ever quits drinking and wants my help, I will be there. Otherwise, I will not take her bullying anymore!

I can certainly relate to the child part. I have a 16 yr old daughter and most of the time when she calls she wants something that is not that important. But you hate to not answer the call because thats the time there will be a problem. Take the next bubble bath when the kids are home and in their rooms! Good luck with your sister though. That has to be tough...

I completely agree with you, Toomutch.

When I say I let the message machine take the call, I mean I don't even know who it is calling.

If I knew who it was I wouldn't be able to resist either.
