My First AA Meeting
My First AA Meeting
I'm happy I have finally decided to go to meetings.
Today is evidently DAY 6 of COMPLETE sobriety, since I've smoked pot recently. I thought quiting alcohol meant I was sober. Evidently, I have to quit using ALL substances, even the ones I don't have issues with. Hmmm... I'm kind of bummed about not being able to smoke pot, but I suppose I can live without it.
Maybe I'll pick up yoga and meditation again?!
Here's to sobriety and new beginnings.

Congrats on your time sober and on getting to meetings, I would suggest a temporary sponsor to be the next step.
BTW experience has shown that if one is an alcoholic that smokig dope can lead back to drinking so being clean & sober is best. I know a lot of alcoholics who went on the marijuana maintenace program and either relapsed or reset thier sobriety date once they realized that being stoned was not being sober! Congrats on stopping the dop smoking as well!
