What good thing or thought happend for you today?
The most wonderful thing happened to me today...It's my 20th day with no alcohol, and I actually felt happy...just for a little while...I went out to eat...and for the first time in I don't know how long, didn't order a drink with dinner...and I didn't feel like I needed one...what a great feeling...I'm not jumping ahead...I know it's still early on for me, and relapse is very real and does happen...Just happy I experienced my first good day without a drink...great feeling.

Bought a radio controlled Tiger-Moth, listened to a man with 63 years of sobreity talk, and my fiance's dad is slowly realising I'm not such a daft bugger.
Now I'm on here, having a herbal tea, and then buggering off to bed!
Pretty good stuff.

i sat in a meeting tonight with my sponsor, my grand sponsor, and a sponsee. i found out that a sponsee made it through surgery and is healing nicely. i got to call someone on their sh*t in a kind and compassionate way.
i lived today as if tomorrow might never happen!!

i talked with my sponsor before i used my self-will to "fix" some things i felt needed 'my' attention. i owned my part in the whole affair and indentified what i am actually responsible for (which, of course, still is=my recovery!). We both shared how the 12 Steps & 12 Traditions help us to be open-hearted to the realities of life without copping an attitude about life's terms of the day (or toward anyone else's process of insanity!!). We found and welcomed another opportunity to find a deeper relief from the burden of self-obsession and our defects of character in honestly sharing our recovery with each other. Moving forward at the speed of Life!

Thanks and I am just so full up with gratitude. I remember so clearly how it was and so grateful for where I am and who I am now. Thanks
I had a great day of playing tennis yesterday in the sun & a great lunch on the patio with a special person in my life... you know they are special to you & care about you when you see the smile on their face when you order a coffee on hot sunny day instead of {insert my poison of choice here}.
I hope everyone had some good moments over the weekend to share. All of the best in your recovery
