TOPIC: Is Anyone Squirrely Out There? Squirrely, antsy....:bananadan Im sure we all have felt like this at some point either in our lives or in our recovery. If you are or have been, then what could make u be experiencing this? Is there something healthy u can be doing to help u settle down? Would you like to share about it?:c024: |
absolutely. more like freaking...exercise always helps me- gets the energy released for me and works well. Walk, run or bike- something aerobic to get the heart pumping is best i have found. Hang tough- Dub |
I am always froggy. Ok wait..Whats a squirrel, an ant and a frog have in common? No punch line. Just my pathetic attempt at being funny. I know..Pitiful. LOL Anyway..I am always hyper. I have been moving in fast forward most of my life with almost everything I have done. And my DOC is like super turbo speed. So now I have a hard time living in the moment and relaxing. I am really squirrely today. Because I havent had a smoke since about 7pm yesterday. I am stressing over employment. I am only a few weeks clean. The price of them is rediculous. I have no money. I am glad I am forced to quit. Because I wouldnt do it on my own. But this craving stuff is insane. I am good as far as the drugs go. I wont feel anything for up to 2 or 3 months. Hopefully I will be better prepared this time and not give in. |
My nerves and my thoughts are sprung like a mousetrap today. I'm not a very pleasant person at the moment. People always talk about the "squirrel cage" at my home meetings. One of these days I'm going to find a small cage, fill it with plastic squirrel toys and bring it with me to meetings. "This is your brain in early recovery!" |
