I'm also on it for anxiety, but was never given it for withdrawal.

Neurontin is an anti-seizure drug, but has other uses for anxiety, pain (blocks certain pain pathways in the body), etc. Personally, I take 600mg at bedtime for restless leg syndrome--it works great ! So maybe it may also be helping me in my recovery--5 DAYS NOW 5

Hope it's helping you in your recovery--one minute at a time, one hour at a time...we can beat this !

I was taking 300 or 600 3 times daily and then it was up'd to 900 3 times daily and I don't know if it was because of this medication but I felt like I was losing my mind.

I started taking it as I recall when I was in-patient alcoholism treatment and I thought it was working alright. I don't know about it anymore.

Your best bet is to check with a doctor before taking any drug or supplement, even over the counter. You never know how it may affect you based on your individual health and any other possible interactions - especially if you are already taking other meds.
