Thank you, Pixy...I think sometimes we need to be reminded of that! I just know that the alternative is so unappealing. I have no choice but to be sober. Day 2 today. Feeling stronger!

I am spiraling very quickly. I really need some help on how to do this. I drank a 6 pack of beer before 10:00 this morning...out of sheer anxiety. This is about as bad as it has gotten. Please help me stop. I can't stand it anymore.

Anxiety is a medical issue
so is de toxing from alcohol....IMO

I suggest seeing a doctor but you must be honest
about your drinking Eclipse.

If your too embarrassed to discuss drinking with your
personal doctor....make an appointment with a different one.

I am so sorry you are feeling badly.....

Congratulations to everyone else who is doing so well this month.

Day 3! Been going to the gym early mornings, and most evenings...eating healthy, being productive at work, happier, nicer to people, more optimistic about life...the list goes on! Congrats to everyone for doing so well so far.

It's a beautiful day here today, mid 70's and SUNNY!
I love spring time.

Day 3 for me. So far so good. First nights slept like a rock.

Last night I slept maybe 3 hours with weird dreams.
Good luck April Fools! It's worth it.

Pixy, don't let them win! You got it.

Palemale, I've been having strange dreams as well. I haven't exactly been sleeping all that great, either. It's odd though because even though I'd classify myself as more of a binge drinker, even just going a few days without drinking at all seems to throw my body out of whack. I guess essentially what it comes down to is the body's just used to having more alcohol than it's getting...which is a GREAT THING...I just wish I'd sleep better!

Just checking in on day 16, feeling great today. For once my brain is all fuzzy because I have been working hard on my work and not because of a hangover Sometimes after work I crave a beer so that I can wind down, the minute that hits I login to the forum and it reminds me of all the effort I have put into being sober..

Lindsey,
Last night was better after a good workout and a Melatonin before bed. Had dreams but not as intense or creepy. M wife is still not sleeping well. She's generally a light sleeper, worse without the exhaustion of being drunk and hungover. I'm going to pick up some tryptophan at the GNC for her and keep working out even if just to tire myself.

There are a lot of little physical things I'm noticing as well. The 'pink elephants' are gone (the 'pink elephants are like optic nerve rushes, like when you squeeze your eyes tightly closed and you see the weird lava lamp stuff, but with you eyes open!)

Even with appreviated sleep, I must say I feel great even after 4 days now! My hearts leeps with feeling better instead of leeping looking forward to getting bombed...

One sad thing, is this morning my wife said she may have a glass of wine now and then. I requested she not drink in the house or alone as a compromise. That story is still developing as we've been codependent in this respect.
All the best!
