Day 6
Day 6 and I feel kind of stressed. I'm going to go work out soon so hopefully I'll feel better. It's Friday night and boy would I like a glass of wine. I think today is the hardest. It's really hard because latter tonight my husband will be sitting there with a beer. I guess I just won't be able to be around him tonight. I bought a new book today so I'm going to read that later.
Right now I feel kind of angry...angry that I just can't have a glass of wine.

Hey all, checking in on day 7. I had quite a few moments yesterday when I wanted a drink. They were just thoughts though and I am learning I don't have to act on them. Craves/thoughts is there a difference.....? All I know is if I don't drink they go away, for a while anyway

Day 11 here for me, yesterday was really tough for me, had quite strong cravings. This thread reminded me that I cannot waste all the hard work I have done. So I distracted my mind by keeping busy and I made it I was so grateful to wake up with a clear head this morning. Sobriety is awesome.
I'm class of April as well.. woo hoo! Day 6 here.. doing alright but my irritability is driving me mad. Time to go read from my 5 daily affirmation books, ha.

good job everyone!!! Happy Easter! And Starryeye, I agree, focus on NOT drinking. Don't "allow" yourself permission. Fight this beast! Great going on your 1 day this week. How about you try for 2 or more next week? Keep pushing yourself, is what I'm trying to get at....
