Hi,
My name is Patrick and I am new to here. I have a binge drinking problem and he decided to address it and change it. I have great people to help I just never have taken responsibility to work on addressing this issue. I just started with this site and it seems like a great place to help share the day to day issues that arise. I look forward to having a new life with alcohol removed from it.

Binge drinker here too. For decades....until I finally blacked out and didn't remember what I did for hours. That was 6/12/2008 and I haven't had a drink since. I found this thread called the Class of July 2008 and hung out there...still do actually. There is a Class of March now, you may want to check that out. You'll get the viewpoints of others at the same stage as you, but go out and check what's going on in the big playground with the older kids too. It's not too scary.

Just a drinker here, binges and all, didn't matter to me. I didn't wait for special occasions, nor the weekend, in the end it was almost daily, till I couldn't drink anymore.
You've found a great group of people who will help you in any way possible. Keep posting and reading.

Welcome Patrick - congratulations on your decision to not let alcohol rule your life. SR helped me get and stay sober after over 25 yrs. There is much wisdom, humor, and help to be found here.
