So much love, thank you. I am ok with this really, its just life and stuff thats happened because of my using.

I really think the worst is past and I have friends and members here in Melbourne and I have a daily program that I practice and have faith and trust in. I will go to the agencies tomorrow and get food and thank you BeachAngel.

((((Anna)))) I am ok not going to starve or use or hurt myself at all, in fact I am looking after myself better than ever and I love you too. I promise that if that changes I will come here and let you know

Thanks Rella I honestly believe I will come out of this with so much more. In the last six months I have seen my defects up close without acting out on them too much. I have leaned and am leanrning so much about life and how to live. In this process I believe I have let go of so many old ingrained behaviours, which is wonderful and know they are gone or are going I am learning new social skills that are much nicer. So being broke and a bit hungry now and then is nothing, in fact it has helped to show me my old behaviours clearly and also helped to sahepe new vaules and news ways of being.

Well, I am still going to worry about you anyways, Kev!

But, I am glad that you're taking care of yourself.

I do know what you mean about this ongoing recovery journey. It seems like I keep uncovering more layers and more layers and each time it hurts, but then it ends up feeling so much better and more free.

Hugs Kev. I'm glad you didn't give into that thought. I hope some of the suggestions fromthe people down under will prove to be more helpful than any I can give. Just know that I'm thinking of you :hug;.

I just had to post this here, I posted it in the Gratitude forum too.

OK

Sunday I sent out emails to five large atheltic companies telling them that I was having a hard time and asking if they would sponsor me for a pair of running shoes.

On Sunday Night I came home and found the following email waiting for me from New Balance:

"Dear Kevin,

Thank you for your touching email. It is great to see people continue to enjoy life and maintain their fitness even when life does not go the way we had planned.

New Balance would like to help you continue your running and fitness.

If you could please advise me of your shoe size and preferred model New Balance shoe (these can be viewed on New Balance Shoes & Apparel | NB Web Express Australia) I will organise to have them sent out to you.

Regards, "

If that doesn't just blow your head off, it has mine. And to top that I have got more work. In general things are moving just because I faced everything and perserved, no drama, no fuss.

So I have a new pair of shoes on their way to me, probably enough work to get by with and a life that is real, full of truth, acceptance, growth and a real adventure.

I didn't wake up one day and have this happen it took you guys my program and that deepening connection with a power greater than me.

I feel so grateful. Back to work

Kevin

PS Recovery works and we are worth it.

Wow kev!!! That's amazing news!!! The thing that impresses me the most...is that sometimes all it takes is to ask for help. Good work man!

(now...don't forget to tell them you need an extra ladies size 6 shoe and I'll send the mailing address along!! )

Papa's gettin' a new pair of shoes! That is just great Kev. What is neat..you are

clean and sober and doing what you need to do to get through.

An inspiration to newbies..and not so newbies here.

I hope things turn around for you soon financially.

You have my prayers, Nog...

I got my new runners yesterday, will test them out later today.

Rusty suggested I get New Balance tattooed on my butt (little does he know I already have) and yes I will stop going on about it. I guess it was more about how recovery works when we are honest and straight forward.

Kevin,

The post about New Balance has me in tears. First off, I applaud you for having the courage to reach out and ask them for assistance. And, I am so impressed that they responsded so quickly and positively to you. That has just made my day!

Go Kev, I expect to see you out running with those new shoes very soon!

Yesterday I sold my House which is great and I now have enough small projects to do to support myself.

I plan to rent a place in Melbourne for 6 months while I buy a small place. Then work for a while and go to England to see Mum, family and friends and family, maybe run in a Marathon there, then to LA to run in a Marathon and catch up with some SR folks and then Trekking in the himalayas. Anyway thats the plan lets see what the universe and my hp has to say about that.

Point is because I have a program and SR I did not pick up and did not act out (well only a teeny bit compared to how I used to be) and as I get well spitually so the rest of my life changes.

I am sure there is more to come, but with others and this program I have faith and trust in the process of recovery.

I heard this morning that I guy I used with in the 70's is in hospital with kidney and liver failure, his body is shutting down and he is not going to be recussitated. There but for the grace of a power greater than me, NA and all the people that have helped, held and accpeted me over the years, go I.

My house Sale fell through a couple of days ago. I am ok with this, quite calm and we have other people looking.

I am calm, its just that I want to pulverise the buyers!

Oh darn, that must be so disappointing.

I know a house deal isn't really done until the money changes hands, and there's always a fear of it falling through.

I sold a house last year and the woman who bought it was 'the buyer from hell'. I absolutely wanted to strangle her.

But, your house will sell, Kev, hang in there!

Yeah Anna, I think she must have emigrated and bought my house

Yes I know it will sell, it was frustrating but others are already looking so on we go ...

Thanks (((Anna)))
