I've been sober for 83 days. The longest time before this was in 1997 when I turned 21.

So 12 or so years.

Probably sometime around September of '99, have to get a couple more years in before I equal the length of time spent on my last road trip. I don't count so much these days, gonna have a big post when I reach 1000.

1978. I was 14 then and a periodic drinker, at 16 I became a daily drinker when I got a job in the restaurant business. Stayed that way until I crash-landed in AA at the age of 41.

I've been clean and sober for 3 weeks now. I was dope free for 8 weeks prior to that one night of stupidity, and before that I hadn't been sober for more than one day in a couple years.

Not counting the years prior to my extended alcoholic stupor? I've never been sober this long before. It doesn't get any easier, but it does get better.

Maybe 6 years ago when my son was born, but I'm not sure how long after he was born that I didn't drink. I would have to ask my husband, but before that was probably in the 70s. Scary!!

1976! I hadn't realized it had been so long!!! The next year I got sent to Germany, I fell in love with the German beer, & it was all downhill from there. And even in '76 I was smoking weed on a regular basis. CLEAN/Sober? Probably '73.(!)

Today, is 4 weeks for me and its Sunday afternoon and I am so bored and dying to have a cold beer, gotta do something to take my mind of that craving.
Been at least 26 years since I been sober this long

This is WAY cool.
One of the reasons I wanted to start this thread is so that we could see how far we have come and it is one more thing that might keep us sober this day!
