Never considered changing mine, till now. Maybe the old bag is empty of empty promises at last and it may be time to look for something new. (apart from new eyes, new heart, new knees, new feet, new back, new hands - does anything of me still work?)

God bless

I'm a grad student in geology. My name is a type of metamorphic rock. It's a German word, I believe, and is pronounced the same as "nice." As in, have a nice day.

My avatar is the next tattoo I want, as soon as I get some cash together for it! A little earth-air-fire-water sorta thing. A reminder about nature and the foundations of science. And, it's just cute and girly.

Thumbs up

I just bloody love Wolves, Huskies, Malaumites... Actually nearly bought a husky a few months back, but did the sensible thing and backed out at the last minute. I wasn't prepared for a pet, I haven't sorted myself out yet.
I have a few things to do careerwise before I get a husky, and I've promised myself that until I've attained my goal, and been sober for at least a year, I don't get to enjoy the company of my own husky.

See what a responsible person I am?

Also my avatar represents the way I've always felt (cliche, I know) but constanly moving while growing up, left me feeling like a lone wolf- and because of that I've learned to respect their spirit.

I saw the coolest motorbike jacket in Daytona a few weeks back..
it just said "Lone Wolf - No Club" on the back... Great stuff!

Original, I have an Alaskan husky and she takes all four of us to keep on the straight and narrow. She is a PITA but I love her very very much. When my girls were younger she would watch them for me while I went to the bathroom and howl if they started to fool around.

Sorry to hijack for a moment. Thought I'd throw this in. My dog is a joy. I've hugged her while I cry, walked her around the lake to distract myself from cravings, snuggled her on the couch when I felt lonely... the list goes on. I don't think I would have gotten through it without her. When she smelled meth on me she wouldn't come close to me, she would go into her kennel and it made me feel so guilty, a reminder that she could tell I'd been smoking and she couldn't stand it. I neglected her while I was doing drugs, other people took care of her and I can't quite forgive myself for it, but she still meets me at the door and is always happy to see me. Even when I gave up on myself she always wanted to be around me. As a matter of fact, she's sitting in my lap right now. And I defy you to type with a 45-pound mutt cutting off all circulation to your feet!

Hi Cyn,

I just changed mine because I've been eating so much that I feel like a blimp. Gotta change this soon, or I'll have to get a chair that has wheels, so I can roll over to the computer, lol.

My current one I have is because she has an expression of seriousness and determination that I would like to bring to my recovery. That and she looks bad-a$$

First..RK2007 made it for me. The angel in center of the storm..

It signifies what my signature line says..

"God hold me still in the eye of the storm."

I have choices today. I can choose to re-enter the walls of the storm, or hurricane

of addiction, or a toxic relationship..and bring chaos and destruction back into my

(and my loved one's lives)..or I can choose to stay in the center of God's will.

And be safe. Something like that.
