Hey Paul. I have the same abuse issues with my step-father. There is much power in now being an adult. I KNOW that he can no longer hurt me. I could take him out if I needed to. This being said. This is the same father that moved in for 2 months. Much healing has taken place over the last couple of years. I am no longer angry at him and see him as what he is/was: sick!

Yea, being an adult has advantages. I am no longer angry at him either. I wouldn't say I have forgiven him totally but I have moved passed it a great deal more in the last few years.

I don't like my new laptop, it has a glossy screen (reflects everything, like looking in a mirror if the light is wrong) and when reading DVDs it vibrates like a mofo.

I ordered another one, I am pretty sure it comes with a matte screen and it is also more high spec....of course, lol.

Faster CPU, more ram (4gb Nelco!, lol), bigger hard drive, better graphics, bluetooth connectivity, 8 cell battery (as opposed to the usual 6), lightscribe DVD writer...it costs £40 more but if it has a matte screen and doesn't vibrate like a mofo I am happy!

I too will stay sober today. Daughter's cat (ck) is sitting on my lap now licking me all over. my neighbor's two dogs are here now and will be staying all week while they're gone. they are nice dogs and well behaved and I'm glad to keep them for my lovely neighbors.

Still feeling weird and uncomfortable. Took my meds and realized I hadn't taken them in several days. Maybe that's why I'm so depressed. But no matter what, i won't drink today.:ghug

Yep move it along I don't like having to read threads on two forums (how lazy is that) ?

Least you need to take your meds all the time or else they just won't work, this is from a world champion pill taking amnesiac.

I take mine as soon as I wake up and it has become such a habit now I can't remember the last time I forgot, if you know what I mean!

Hope you are okay Stone, glad to hear the depression is receding. x

Least.. Yes, please take your meds correctly..that can really mess with your

head and emotions..and with the DK, put her in her place. No matter what, she is the

kid..you are the mama, no matter hard it is. I went through this..in a milder form

with my son with shared custody..his Dad and step mom the super Christians..I the

sick alkie. (In their eyes..) So I basically let him get away with too much..then had to get tough

and take a stand when I got him back. Whooh! it was hard. You are the mom!

Bottom line.

Stoney..I didn't know about the abuse..babes. 'Splains a lot. I am so sorry.

I looked for the thread first thing..and am so glad you are still sober and still serial.

....Still overcoming your probs. Yes!

Me too.

And Dee was padding? Excellent!

Love..
