toxic shame?
 
was just wondering if anyone has this or knows about it!
i have had it for years and need more help on this?
i do have bradshaws book, and have read it and practiced it, but still have shame?


gosh, besides being sober how do i feel like a worthwild person? i do believe in God, but i beat myself up so bad every day for nothing?

think my mind is gone, lol!

Thanks for the post...nearly missed it.

Yeah sure i beat myself silly for a long time.....kept me out there too.

It takes time my friend......you have a relationship with god....have you asked him to remove it...with all your heart?

A sponsor took me through the aa twelve steps..........i believe it gave me the freedom to hold my head up..

but it took time....i believe god has already forgiven you.......now maybe it time for you to do the same.

Thats how it was for me anyhow..........thanks for sharing.

Shame is something I lived with all my life. The only thing that really worked in stopping it was to learn how to silence the voice in myself that always berated me. I read a book called Soul Without Shame by Byron Brown. It taught me quite a bit and maybe it will help you as well.

By the way, you are a worthwhile and loveable person jowinbo.
