Now it's cheeseburgers
I had heard many times in my
lifetime that too much of anything
is not good for you. Too much
eating, sex, spending, exercise,
drinking, coffee, tv...etc.
I definitely got that message
more times than I can remember.
Now, whether I followed that
advice...well, not always and
yep....it gets me into trouble.
Too much eating ice cream in
those little pints eventually
caught up with me, so i had
to nip that little delight in the
bud.
Do i want to eat things that
I know i love but will make me
gain weight....and then it will
take forever to work it off....
esp as you get older, the
metabolism sloooooows down
and makes losing weight
seeming impossible.....
I have a choice today to
do the next right thing.
An occassional pint of my
favorite ice cream with
cutting back on other
favorites till I get it out
of my system....
I tell you what...payback
is hell when wanting to
satisfy an unhealthy craving.
I too love food. However today
I have choices.
Thanks for letting me share.

I wouldn't worry too much about the cheeseburgers. It will all even out with time. And cheeseburgers might make you gain weight, but they won't make you wreck your car or kill someone. Give yourself some time. Don't be too hard on yourself.

Moderation..moderation.moderation. Are any of us here pros at that? Probably not. I'm sure it will even out.. if you're anything like me, when I was drinking I was starving myself (not knowingly), and when I sobered up boy was I hungry, plus a new sugar craving to satisfy. I think when I quit, I neglected other parts of my health, thinking ... well at least I'm not DRINKING! But.. then realized, that's not the ONLY unhealthy thing I do, and if I really want to be healthy, I do need to exercise, eat pretty healthy, sleep normal hours, etc etc. It's good that you're aware of it, but I certainly wouldn't get too down on yourself for it. Moderation is a good thing to learn!
