another six pack
My great idea of having a one six pack in the weekend didn't go so well.
Haven't stoped since.
My wife, my children, my brothers and sisters, and my doctor ar all mad at me.
l just can't stop. l feel like l will go mad without a little alcohol.
Went for "walks" and straight to a beer l had hidden in the neighborhood. Was waiting for the shop to open this morning.
How sad is that ?
How will l face my wife when she gets home tonight ?
She will kick me out and l will end up in the gutter.
l allready got fired from my job.
And it's not a question of saying "Oh.. all right.. stop now.."If l could do that l would.
l will be honest.. l have had 2 beers now, ( 8.31 am in Holland) and allready things a seeming a bit better.
At least l can breath again.
Anybody been ther ??

Yes, there are many of us who have been there. It su*ks, pure and simple. All I can add is that my life is much better each day I don't drink. I hope you can begin to find the same to be true for you, and are able to find the path that works for you.
Hang in there, and keep trying to find your way, hopefully sober.

Is your doctor mad enough about your drinking that he's willing to help you quit? I mean a medical detox, medical supervision while you withdraw from alcohol. Besides medical help in quitting, look for support groups for help in staying sober.
This is a progressive disease and it will kill us if we don't stop drinking. Please get help now, all the help you can find, and use it to get and stay sober. You CAN do this, but it takes work and some rough times to go thru.

....get into I agree with the above........... I had to do it.....you wont do this alone.....you need help...
Take an action ! dont sit in the problem.
the solution, your solution for your recovery, you can do it, if you want to be sober, you can be sober....ask for help, connect with a program, AA, or other detox/rehab, whatever you can do, if you want to be sober

Yes, I've been there. A lot of us have. It doesn't just "happen", the quitting thing.. What other support do you have? Something else needs to be plugged in here. Are you ready to quit? Doing it your way hasn't worked so far. Look around and learn from what people have done that has worked, try a few new things. I hope you get the help you need. And I hope your wife doens't kick you out.
