Today is my 16th day without a drink..I feel physically ok, getting a bit more sleep than usual, waking up feeling better , although still have the headache. Mentally, am not so good. I am very down. This has a lot to do with current family circumstances, recent close bereavement, looking for a job, money, noisy kids! But on the whole, I'm happy I'm sober. I WANT to stay sober.
So far, I have been in three situations where alcohol was right next to me, and offered, but managed to refuse, and no-one pushed me, so that's good.
I just want it to be a month..two months...a year.. know what i mean!
Thanks for reading.

I know exactly what you mean. I was always wishing I had more time. The thing I reflect on now is that the joy is in the journey.
Keep up the great work. In what will seem like no time you'll be looking back on your years of sobriety. And you won't believe what your new life is like. Awesome.

I was depressed too. When I stopped I had to learn to deal with life on life's terms without a drink. Had to stop using alcohol as a crutch, it only made things worse. great to hear your sleeping better. Rest really helps. Have you tried to get any help/ somewhere to talk about/ your other issues?
