Johnny Carson poked fun at my city (Oxnard California.) with jokes on the "The Tonight Show." And with a name like Ox-nard(s) I can see why...LOL.

I live close enough to the coast to get the ocean breeze and there is plenty of farm land around to get that feeling of open space. Strawberries is a big crop around here. I just love me some vanilla ice cream & strawberry shortcake...yum...yum. Also with a large South American population I get to feast on some premo specialty dishes that one doesn't find in a typical Mexican food restaurant.

I'm in an itty-bitty town in Texas, but I'm a transplant, though I do love it here! I could do without the humidity & rain today, though.

I live just outside of Detroit (near the now famous 8 mile) in Warren, Michigan. I work in an auto repair facility near the Detroit River, our shop worked on all of the vehicles for the Eminem movie 8 Mile, they filmed the inside scenes in a warehouse down the block from where I work! It was cool seeing all of the vehicles we had in the shop and knowing all of the places that the scenes were filmed!

I live in Texas but I am from Vermont, which is where Bill W and Dr Bob are from. Guess we have a lot of drunks up there.
long winters, beautiful summers. Great fishing. Lot of Red Sox fans.

Dallas, Texas for most of the last 30 years and there's no where I'd rather be. I was born in Massachusetts (is that how it's spelled?) and moved most every year as my father was in the army, I came to Dallas on my own not long after high school and although I have no family here this is my home.

Hey wldkatz, I work in Flint...live 30 miles northeast..in the 'thumb'. My plant is where "Chevy in the hole" used to be by Kettering (GMI). Still an ok city, but lot's of blight and unemployment....25 years ago it was still pretty hopping. Love to see it come back to its glory someday. My corp seems to be intent on future investment in Flint, that's a good thing.

Peace.

I am originally from West Yorkshire in England, now live in Tamworth Staffordshire England, Its a beautiful place with a little 13th century castle in the town and nature reserves with fishing and sailing lakes, about half an hour away is Stratford upon Avon birth place of William Shakespeare.
