done more in 2 days sober than in the last 12 months drunk

-did both state and federal taxes
-cleaned whole apartment, including washing floors, the huge pile of moldy dishes in sink, and bleached bathroom
-THREW OUT THE 100s OF BEER BOTTLES LITTERING THE APARTMENT
-paid bills
-did 5 loads of laundry
-organized mail
-read a book for the first time in months
-walked the dog when she wanted to, unlike when i was drunk, when she had to wait for me to finish a drink very sad
-woke up before 12pm without an alarm for the first time
-WOKE UP WITHOUT A HANGOVER!@
-made salad
-ate normal amount of food

and theres probably more that i cant remember because i did so much
THANK YOU ALL FOR SUPPORT!@

Thats fantastic nobodyknows I have had a similar experience in my first seven days sober but I need to work on that list.

I do have a few that you mentioned though & this is week one... isn't it great.

The most meaningful was having long conversations with friends straight & them telling me how much they appreciate your friendship, feedback & support (even though you are straight... who would of thunk it ;-)

I also got up early on Saturday & Sunday and spent some quality time with my family/friends as opposed to being a complete hungover mess & hiding away from everyone... until the next drink of course.

Keep up the great work!

Just reading your list made me tired. Way to go, it's wonderful what we can do when we"re not hungover. Keep up the good work.

Truly awesome, nobodyknows! You've cleary swept the way clean for a new life ahead.

(But I had to laugh at Firestorm's, "Just reading your list made me tired" !! )

great job nobodyknows,

i know....exactly what you mean.

last spring when i was sober for 3 months i did a tremendous amount of projects on the casa.

yesterday was two weeks for me and i've already knocked out quite a few projects that i had just been putting off due to the vodka.

i would leave work and say....i need to do this tonight....but after that first swig of firewater it was over. sitting on the sofa and drinking til passout time.

i'm looking forward to nice weather so i can do some more projects outside.

isn't it wonderful to have energy?

Wow, that almost makes me feel like cleaning. I don't even know which job to tackle first, but at least now I'm making plans to get stuff done.
Good job!!!
