Not Sleeping

Is so cool!!!!!!

It's 1:42AM MST right now and I can't sleep a wink.

Gotta love being use to drinking yourself to sleep for a few years, eh?

I cant sleep either. Under pressure to go to sleep. Its 3:45am here and I have to be up in 45 mins to get ready for work.
I fell asleep the first time around 12:30 for about an hour. Up a little bit. Back to sleep for about another hour. Back up and so on. My eyes are burning right now.
I dont usually have to go to work this early and am used to stayin up late.
But for some reason when I need to get to sleep. It never happens.
Glad I only have to work a few hours today. Then I will come home and crash for real.
Hope you get some rest soon.

So it's a little weird so i have to play video games or read a book.

my sponsor tells me to count my blessings if I can`t sleep.
That came after a remark a guy made once about counting sheep when he could not sleep

Just over 2 weeks and finally able to get some quality sleep. It will come you guys.....just takes time. I still have some pretty weird dreams though.......why can't I dream up the winning lotto number?

I should've come online at 3AM instead of tossing and turning - I couldn't sleep either! It's funny, I slept like a rock when I first got sober.

I'm 137 days clean, and I've not slept through the night since before rehab. Come to think of it, I didn't sleep before rehab either....for reasons that got me there in the first place! lol

I'm on day 5 and I had trouble falling asleep last night, but after an hour, I finally did. Once asleep, I'm sleeping better now, and through the night. I feel pretty good today.

Sleep is more interrupted for me without drinking - and the dreams - wow.. and I remember them.. But I am not real tired during the day so what sleep I am getting must be good stuff.
Great to hear how this works out for others - being on this path is really new for so many of us and I sure don't know what to expect!

Couldn't sleep at all the first 4 or 5 days sober. TRIED....man I tried...sweatin', irritated, my mind racing like nascar, I heard every single tiny minute itty bitty little freakin tiny noise that was made in my house....swear I could hear the mouse 3 rooms away snoring.

Much better about the 6th or 7th day....find myself sleeping thru the night now...very thankful.

Different for everyone eh?

I thought about turning to my computer when I was up during the night. I wish I had! For the first week I slept fine, but now I can't stay asleep. And my dreams are crazy. Reading helps me sleep, but I can't stay asleep, the last 2 nights have been tough.
