A mash of a base of chick peas (and some juice from the chick peas [garbanzo beans]), garlic, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, some salt (I'm sure I'm forgetting somthing....maybe some paprika, cayenne pepper...).

It's really good with pita bread, carrots, on a sandwich......tasty.

I cannot stop eating Reese's peanut butter hearts.....you know, like the eggs. I'm going to get sick.

I try to eat better foods...I have a mango that's doing its best to ripen right now. I wish it would hurry up. I love mangos....of course....it's mostly sugar.

Ferrero Rocher Chocolates and my ultimate favorite:

Dan's Chocolates - Chocolate delivery, chocolate truffles, bulk chocolates, and chocolate bars

Those are to die for.

It's definitely something I am enjoying again. When I was drinking I couldn't stand anything sugary because I was already drinking so much from wine.

Congrats on your 10 days! I say for the initial period eat whatever you want and just enjoy it. Last thing you need to worry about is having too many brownies. Be good to yourself. =)

Eat em up masseyman. Who cares. As long as your not drinking.
There are alot worse things you could be doing. Eat em if you got em.
I have heard before from alot of people that they crave sugar after quitting drinking.

I am a cocaine addict. I crave pickles when I stop. Or maybe I just crave pickles all the time. But I love picjkles. Claussen pickles.
You eat your little heart out and dont let anyone tell you any different.

Right after I quit it was chocolate & coffee with french vanilla cream., & ice cream. I also had to have lollipops anytime I was just sitting - oral fixation, I guess! I thought after a year I was getting over my sugar obsession, but at Christmas someone gave me a box of Barton's Peppermint Bark candy, which is both Dark and White Chocolate with little pieces of candycane crushed on top. Ooooh yeah. (Good thing it's a limited edition item....)

I like my brownies warm, in a bowl with Breyers peach ice cream on top!

I justify it as the ice cream has real fruit in it.

If my daughter hasn't made brownies (she likes to bake), then I have a bowl of Breyers heath toffee ice cream. That's my current favorite.

I don't do sweets all day, just the ice cream at night. I do power walk, and did 2 miles Sun, Mon and Tues. Hope to get a few miles in this weekend. I'm happy with my routine since I'm not tossing back alcohol all night.

A year ago, when I quit a nearly 3 month straight binge, I was drinking sodas like mad. There was even one evening where I went to three different convinience stores to buy a bunch of them* because I didn't want them to think I was weird. A trick I'd learned with liquor stores.

(*Michigan's local-made, yummy & cheap brand is impossible to find in anything but single bottles.)

After my last relapse I was going through either a pint or quart of ice cream every single night for a week or two.

Hi Isaiah, you fellow mittener, you! Are you talking about Vernors?

Someone told me tonight about something I'm gonna have to try -- vanilla ice cream covered in fruity pebbles. Hmmm....

Also, something icky - pancakes with peanut butter. YUCK!

That made me laugh, and reminds me of a useless memory I have...

...I once saw someone I used to work with buy about 30 2-liter bottles of soda at the grocery store. He was a pretty big dude.....and that's pretty much all he bought.

That's a lot of soda.

Starbucks skinny vanilla lattes. They are made with fat free milk and sugar free syrup, so by no means do they equate the 600-1200 calories I was drinking a night, but at $4 a pop they sure aren't saving me much money!!!

As a recovering pothead, when I saw the "Brownies" title, I got a little apprehensive. Good thing they are just regular brownies.

I have noticed other things picking up as I'm sober, especially internet use, and I too have been eating alot. I have been smoking a few less cigarettes, though. I would chain smoke when under the influence.

And I absolutely love chocolate, as always.

Fulldresser4, hello yourself! Heh, you're the first person who's responded correctly to the Mitten. I've had a lot of private messages from this site asking "where's the mitten?"

I was referring to Faygo. I'm a Rock n' Rye fan. Mildly uncomfortable that my favorite artificially-flavored soda is modeled after an alcoholic beverage, but eh... Vernor's is nice too.

Peanut butter on pancakes... I have to say that sounds tasty to me, but I'm obsessed with peanut butter.

I was starring at this post for a long time with my mouth agape.

Finally it hit,

You like pickles AND you like ice cream.

I love pickles too, but I just could not comprehend pickle ice cream, which was my first thought.
