A Sincere Thank you to everyone at SR

Today marks one week for me.

One week that I remember what I talked to my kids about the night before.
One Week that I was able to get up & not feel regret for snapping at my husband or kids about something stupid.
One week that I don't feel anxious about everything, including if I have enough alcohol in the house.
One week that my kids didn't have to see me passed out on the couch by 9pm & I could not help with home work.
One week of not worrying where all of my stashes are & if they are full.
One week that I didn't have to get up with the feeling that I either get sick or have a drink.

There are so many more, and many more to come.
In no way do I think this is easy, and I don't expect the next several weeks to be. But I would have never seen this side of it if it weren't for the hand that guided me here & the kind hearts that have kept me.

A Sincere Thank you to everyone here that shares their stories, their struggles, their success, their wisedom, their love.

Congrats TBM and thank you for being here for me too. I look forward to your posts every day and that keeps my mind off the other things. Right now I would rather come here than go drinking at the bars and listen to the same old stories and whines that accompany the bars. Without SR come 3-4 PM I would be bored and in need of some company. So thanks to you and everyone else here that keeps me busy. :ghug

One week is a huge accomplishment! You are doing really well and do whatever you need to do so as not to pick up.

Congrats, I'm starting Day 7 myself...isn't it amazing what a difference just one week of not drinking can make in how you feel?

I could do the same "One week that..." list toabetterme.

Remebering the night before, not feeling like crap, etc.

Going on my 9th day here, great job to you and everyone who is trying so hard.

Ditto and amen! All the alcohol related worries are gone when the alcohol is gone. Not easy but so simple and so rewarding.

Nice going TBM! Congratulations on that wonderful success. That was a great list too, one for the personal journal.

Keep going, we're here rooting for ya.
