You are all such wonderful people. I was sittin' in my car today and I thought.....I really have something that I can feel good about. I have something that really matters to me. I don't feel so alone. I have people who are giving me something that turned out to be much more than I ever imagined.
I have been putting out so much to help my kids over the past 5 years. They give back, but it's different getting it from all of you. Some days I feel quite drained. I have family but we aren't that close. I can call on them when I need them but they don't know that I consider myself an alcoholic. I could tell them but they wouldn't help me like you people do.
So again, I just want to say thanks for all the love and support.
I hope that this thread is also helping others who are dealing with any loneliness, fear, depression, and loss of hope. To those of you who desire to reach out but are afraid. To you especially, you quiet ones, speak up and be heard. Don't let your silence be your surrender. There are so many people on SR who have so much to give in the way of love and understanding. Give this "family of addicts" a chance to help you as they have helped me.

I LOVE "clean" jokes! I used to love the "dirty" ones but now feel guilty at laughing at them (although they're still funny)!
Please send some to me - US!
Thanks!:ghug3
