Hi Folks,
I am new here and just wanted to say hello. I have been drinking heavily for about 3 years now and have attempted to stop numerous times. This time needs to be the last time. I have gone to meetings, read books, and taken all sorts of supplements to stop drinkin, but nothing worked becasue I wasn't ready to stop. I am at that point now and would love to share this experieince with you all.

What worked for me was to get in the meetings, get phone #'s and a temporary sponsor. If you are trully full , and use the tools that are given to you , you can and will remain sober. If i can do it so can you.

Welcome to SR. This place is great because you can build a friends list, blog, post or just read. You can even post pictures if you want. Keep in mind that by posting you help yourself as much as the person you are supporting. Good luck and keep coming back. Try to come back at least once a day and for at least one hour at a time.

Welcome and I'm glad you found us.
I do agree with you that you need to be ready to stop, to commit and to be ready to change your life.
