Well here I am. First timer and hoping to get some inspiration. I have actually started to annoy myself with my inability to stop drinking. Pretty bad when you start annoying yourself eh? I know all of the pitfalls re health etc but just don't seem to be able to stop. Wine is my poison as you may guess from my name. You see when I have one glass i just dont stop. Probably not the worst case in history but need to correct this.

Welcome Kick. You have come to the right place if it is inspiration you want as we are all very supportive here. When you feel like taking a nip come here to read and post. It will take your mind off of it. It works for me. Good luck. Join the class of January 2009 when you see the thread come up. A lot of us post something everyday and it makes for good reading and support.

I understand the one glass thing. For me it usually involves whiskey. About an hour ago I was considering going to get some from the poison store. Well I didn't, instead I made some chicken soup and logged on to SR to post and read. I'm glad you're here to be a part of something outside of yourself. Please come back. It may take some time to get used to the site and how it works. I myself am still learning how it all works. I have a few friends now and that feels good. So, hang in there. I am a newbie too.

Seeking out help to "Kick the Vine" and finding us is a HUGE step-
Possibly finding an AA meeting in your area would also be another step?
I do know Sarasota area very well as I have family there so if you need
any information you can PM me.

Nice to know people are here. Means a lot. I am trying to beat this on my owm whcih is probably a stupid thing to do, but just dont wnat to admit that a group may help.
