Running / walking / fitness for sobriety.
during my drinking & using career, running and/or cyling was always the last thing on my mind.
Today, I'm in the best shape of my life, and have completed numerous marathons, ultra marathons & 100+ mile cycling adventures.
I am now certified as a ChiRunning instructor to help myself & others.
I say this, not to impress you, but impress upon you, what we can accomplish in recovery, is simply amazing!
CONGRATS to each and everyone of you!!!!!!!

Saturday, February 28th.
Did a great workout in the weightroom today, giving the legs and feet a rest.
When I started thinking about winter running outdoors my biggest concern was February because February in northern OH/PA is n-a-s-t-y weather.
Mission accomplished!
I got through February with 15 runs of 5 miles each! Yee haw!!!

Friday, March 6th, ran 5 miles after a week long break, 61F degrees, nice weather.
I had about 4.75 miles worth of energy, and that last 1/4 mile was a BITCH... lol.
But... just like the times when I want a drink I just say to myself, "keep on going, been here, done this before, I'll get through it...", and I do!
