Here in the Ohio Valley, it's going to be around zero tonight, wind chills about -10. Tommorrow, about 16. My gas bill is going to be atrocious next month.

I can't even start my snowblower! Gotta love Northwestern Ontario in January. Seriously, I do absolutely love it here and it's gonna warm up by the weekend (looking forward to sliding with the kids!). What's a few chilly days!

I spent my lunch hour with my snowblower... I have a REALLY long driveway that was at least 6 inches under. The wind chill is about 35 below here, temp at about 2 with 35-50 mph winds. Tonight we'll be 16 below before they factor in the wind chill. My hands were so cold after running the snow blower I just held them under the faucet. I put a space heater in the small bldg where my dogs go when outside... they are spoiled rotten and spend most of their time indoors.

Yes, I'm cold and I'm really tired of winter. It's only January.....and I'm looking forward to spring when I can talk about flowers and plants and other stuff besides how cold I am.

Our low for tonight is forecasted to be 18F and our low for tomorrow night 7F. That is just unfreakingnatural for the south! I don't know what I'd do if I lived in Minnesota or Montana or one of those places that's in the negative digits.

I was in Ontario (Niagara Falls) at New Year's and it was the coldest I've ever been in my LIFE. *shiver*

Quick update,

Minus 23 on my thermometer this morning, I've been the only person at work for over an hour, My boss called and can't get his car started, no word from the others yet.
This is starting to sound like a bad movie... Ha.

They closed all the schools here and told people to stay home if possible. Many cars just wont start - it's 16 below, with winds it's 50 below wind chill.

That's just too cold. I don't care who you are!

It's been mid to high 80's here (S.CA) all week. Hit 88 yesterday and I went to my meeting last night in shorts and a T-shirt - very weird for January. We're 20+ degrees above normal.

Spoke with family back in Michigan and it was -20 w/o a wind chill.

I miss the MidWest but not this week!

minus 8 officially here. high today of minus 1, low of minus 18. ouch. and that's before they factor in wind chill...

too cold to even build a fire in the fireplace. i'll make minestrone soup. and wear my warmest slippers.
